SHA Ranks Highest in 2010 MME Comparison With Local Schools

  • The Michigan Merit Exam (MME) assesses students in grade 11 and eligible students in grade 12 based on Michigan high school standards. It is administetered each March and consists of 3 components:
  •    ACT Plus Writing® college entrance examination
  •    WorkKeys® job skills assessments in reading, mathematics, and "locating information"
  •    Michigan-developed assessments in mathematics, science, and social studies

Assessment Results

The curriculum at Sacred Heart Academy is aligned with the state standards and benchmarks.
 
Students in third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades take the state Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) assessments. The eleventh grade students take the Michigan Merit Exam (MME). The MEAP and MME measure student proficiency in mathematics, English Language, Arts (ELA), science and social studies. 
 
Sacred Heart Academy students consistently show higher scores than area schools and surpass the state average in each of the areas assessed. Congratulations SHA students!
