Secondary Language Arts Teacher (1 position)

Sacred Heart Academy School, located in Mt. Pleasant Michigan, is seeking two elementary teachers and a secondary language arts teacher.  Applicants must have a State of Michigan teaching certificate valid for the 2013 - 2014 school year. Catechetical certification and participation in the VIRTUS program will be required of anyone who is hired. 

Applicants should be practicing Catholics who are enthusiastic about teaching the Roman Catholic faith to children. The ideal applicant will be a teacher who has a genuine passion for teaching in a Catholic school, a high comfort level in managing a classroom of fully engaged learners, a commitment to joyful collegiality, an ability to communicate effectively with parents, and a strong foundation in subject curriculums. 

Sacred Heart Academy, is a DK- 12 grade school of approximately 420 students. Ours is a Catholic learning community where we ask students to pursue excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics for the greater glory of God.
