The Eucharist

Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.

First Holy Communion

75 young people from Sacred Heart Parish received the gift of First Holy Communion. The children were very excited to receive the Body and Blood of Christ into their hearts for the very fist time. The children were reminded by Father during his homily, to remember to let Jesus know that they love him and to continue to follow in his ways. During the ceremony, they gathered around the Baptismal font to renew their Baptismal vows and joined Father at the altar for the Eucharistic prayer. All three of the services were very well attended by family and friends of the candidates.
