Dear Parents,

In this week’s Friday folder, you will find a conference form. Please note that our student led conferences will take twenty minutes. Keep that in mind if you have other conferences to schedule. I will start at 8:00 and end at 1:00 on Wednesday in order to provide adequate time. Return your form as soon as possible if only a particular time will work for you.

We are in charge of all the ministries for the Children’s Mass on March 10. They kept the same jobs they had for our Mass which was canceled due to bad weather. I hope some of you will be able to join us.

Anastasia and Hadyn were Altar Servers for the All School Mass this week. They performed their ministries well! Thank you, Hadyn and Anastasia!

I am looking forward to the Book Report in a Bag your children will be presenting beginning on Monday! As I have told them, they all need to be ready to present on Monday. Many of the reports are already in the classroom ready to go.

Elliot is the newest member of the 100% Division Club. Congratulations, Elliot! He has now gone into retirement.

My daughter, Sam, was our POW this week. We are looking forward to Brad’s POW presentation and week starting on Monday.

The students had their last Catholic Math League test this week. We practiced on Tuesday, and they took the test on Wednesday. I hope your child is bringing you the practice tests so you can see what is expected of fourth graders these days. They are very challenging tests!

To celebrate Reading Month, the committee wanted each of the children to design a cover for a cereal box based on the story of a champion. Both fourth grades picked saints for their champions. The covers turned out great! If you have a chance, stop up to see them; they’ll be decorating our door.

The students who brought their favorite book to school Monday received extra credit in reading, as did those who wore broccoli. I thought wearing sports gear on Tuesday was itself a reward.

I let them know Thursday that they will have a science test on Tuesday, March 9. It will cover Chapter 1 of Unit E. They began reviewing on Thursday.

Have a wonderful weekend! God bless you, those you love, and those you don’t love so much.

                                                                        Sincerely,
