I am very excited to be joining the family at Sacred Heart Academy and teaching sixth grade this year. I’ve been a parishioner at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Clare for many years, and my children attended St. Cecilia Catholic School. I strongly feel that a faith based education is important and I am happy to become a part of a school that shares my passion.
I attended Central Michigan University where I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. My educational experiences also include working as a paraeducator for two years in Clare, substitute teaching for three years in a variety of different classrooms and schools, and teaching summer school for first grade in Harrison.
I live in Clare with my husband and two children. We have a dog, three cats, and a rabbit. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family taking walks, watching my kids ski/snow board, reading, and going to football games. I also volunteer as a leader of a Girl Scout troop in Clare which I’ve been a part of for eight years. I look forward to meeting the students and their families, and having a great year at Sacred Heart Academy.
