Elementary Music
Taught by: Mr. Eric Vinciguerra
What we do in music...
Elementary classroom music is the foundation for musical growth and appreciation.
In music class, the students participate in a variety of objective based activities ranging from performing on instruments, to analyzing music through listening, to creating dances. The curriculum is based on the national standards for music provided by the National Association of Music Educators (MENC). With these, the students are taught the basic concepts/elements of music.
The class prepares for two performances a year. The Christmas program (for music and band students in grades 1-12) is held in December, while the second program is scheduled in the spring.
