In addition, students have music, computers, Spanish, art and physical education on a weekly basis. Sixth graders attend several field trips through out the year starting with an overnight 5th/6th grade camp held at Springhill every other year in September. They visit the Impressions 5 Science Center in Lansing for a hands-on science lesson. Occasionally, they may walk to Central Michigan University to take in a play or musical performance. They participate in the annual Geography Bee and Spelling Bee.
